2025 PINOT NOIR
2025 Pinot Noir
Lansdowne Vineyard, Adelaide Hills
The Site & Vintage
Sourced entirely from the high-altitude, cool climate Lansdowne Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Certified organic, this site sits at high elevation where long, slow ripening gives Pinot Noir intense aromatic lift, pure fruit character, and bright, persistent natural acidity.
Clone Dynamic & Structure
A deliberate blend of two distinct clones that complete each other on the palate:
- Pommard: Brings a delicate, high toned, and pretty aromatic profile; think wild strawberry, rose petal, and bright red cherry.
- MV6: Delivers the engine room adding structure, darker fruit depth, muscle, and fine, driving tannin.
Winemaking & Whole-Bunch
Crafted with 50% whole-bunch inclusion during fermentation. The stalk influence frames the lifted fruit, contributing exotic spice, dried herbs, and a savory, fine-grained stem tannin structure that carries through the finish.
Tasting & Portfolio Notes
- Style: Medium-bodied, aromatic, savory, and structured.
- Aromatics: Lifted red cherries, floral top notes, whole bunch spice, and dried herbs.
- Palate: Bright, crunchy red fruits on entry leading into a waxy, textured mid palate. Fine, savory stem tannins from the 50% stalk inclusion weave through the fruit, providing drive, tension, and exceptional length.
